Julie Hereford
Julie Hereford is a doctor of physical therapy. She has 25 years of experience in physical therapy practice and teaching. She has specialized in manual and manipulative therapy and orthopedics. She has practiced in multiple areas of physical therapy such as sports medicine (including work with a professional baseball team), work injury management, multidisciplinary chronic pain management, treatment of tempromandibular joint dysfunction and women's health. Julie has taught many courses for physical therapy and anatomy, both at the University level and for continuing education. She enjoys working with patients day to day as well as teaching and learning from other medical professionals.
Julie received her BS in Physical Therapy from St. Louis University and her MS(R) in Anatomy and Neurobiology from St. Louis University in 1989. In 2008 Julie completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Des Moines University where she received the Graduate of Distinction honor.
In her private life Julie especially enjoys time with her family, especially with her son, Henry. Julie is an avid knitter and reader and can often be found reading the latest professional journals as well as American history, especially as it pertains to native cultures, the "Old West" and the American Civil War.
